Clemens works in Kluge’s public sector practice group. He has over 10 years working experience in EU/EEA law, in particular in competition and state aid law, as well as in financial sector regulation. Clemens worked more than eight years in the European Commission’s competition department, focusing in particular on state aid and merger control. He also worked on state aid cases in ESA. Clemens’ academic background comprises a master in law and doctorate degree in European law from the university of Innsbruck, and a LLM from the university of Toronto.
