Catherine Vautrin

Grand Reims

Holder of a master’s degree in business law, Catherine Vautrin entered professionnal life in 1986 as a product manager with the American insurance company CIGNA. Member of the RPR, she began her first local mandate at Reims in 1983. In 1999, she decided to resign from the private sector to join the Regional Council of Champagne-Ardenne. In June 2002, she was elected a deputy UMP of the 2nd district in the department of the Marne. Member of the Committee of economic affairs, she was vice-president of the Assemblée Nationale and president of the Committee for the Evaluation of Commercial Practices. She is now president of the Grand Reims (an intercommunal structure, centered on the city of Reims and located in the Marne department, northeastern France).
