Caroline Boeshertz is, since February 2021, member of the cabinet of Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis. Caroline Boeshertz joined the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition in 2001 where she has been involved as a case handler in a number of high-profile cases in the field of merger control. In 2008, she moved to the unit responsible for providing support to, and ensuring consistency of all cases dealt with by the operational units in the Mergers and Antitrust fields. In 2011, Caroline Boeshertz joined the European Commission’s Directorate General for Trade. She holds a Master in Finance.
