Carol Xueref has 30 years of executive management experience and was with Essilor International, the world’s leading ophthalmic lense manufacturer for 20 years as Director for Legal Affairs and Group Development and then as Secretary General, with worldwide responsibility. She was appointed to Essilor’s group Executive Committee in 2002. She retired on 1st July 2016. Carol has two board directorships with French listed companies (“SBF 120 Euronext”) : Ipsen S.A. a French based international pharmaceutical company. She chairs the Board’s Nominations Committee and sits on the Strategic, Remunerations and Ethics Committees ; Eiffage S.A., a French based construction group. She chairs the Board’s Remunerations and Nominations Committee and is a member of the Strategic Committee. Carol retired from the board of the French Competition Authority in March 2019 at the end of her third mandate, where she had been acting as a judge since 2006 on a wide variety of competition law cases. She has been appointed to the Corporate Governance committee set up by the Medef (the French employers’ Federation).
