Brandon Mitchener is a managing partner at Instinctif Partners. He managed corporate communications for Monsanto in Europe and the Middle East. As such I’m head of public relations and internal communications for the region. Previously, Mr. Mitchener provided Avisa expertise in communications and media relations in addition to an eclectic experience in European public affairs. Prior to that, he was a director in the Brussels office of APCO Worldwide, Brandon specialises in helping clients connect with a wide range of stakeholders in the European Union and beyond. A former journalist for 15 years, he reported on everything from competition policy and technology regulation to food safety and German unification. In his last assignment, Brandon served as The Wall Street Journal’s chief EU business correspondent for six years. Before moving to Brussels, he was the Journal’s European automotive correspondent, The International Herald Tribune’s Germany correspondent and Dow Jones Newswires financial markets and German business correspondent for three years each. Brandon was educated at Wabash College in Indiana, Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., the universities of Vienna and Basel, and Columbia University’s Graduate Schools of Journalism and International and Public Affairs in New York. He speaks English, French, German and Italian.
