Artur Badra has experience coordinating the corporate legal strategy for global clients doing business in Latin America. Artur Badra also advises Latin American companies with their global operations. He focuses predominantly in the areas of M&A for domestic and multinational companies, cross-border transactions, restructuring of corporate groups, joint ventures, and other forms of business cooperation. In addition, he handles the local coordination of global antitrust matters and internal corporate investigations of fraud and violations of anticorruption and antitrust laws. Most recently, Artur has advised Embraer, Orange, Santander, Cardinal Health, BTG, and XP in joint ventures, acquisitions, and other corporate matters.
After many years of working at Jones Day in Europe, Artur has been a key member of the São Paulo Office since its inception in 2011. Artur Badra is deeply involved with mentoring new lawyers and is engaged in inclusion initiatives.Prior to joining Jones Day in 2007, Artur Badra practiced law for five years at a prominent Brazilian law firm, where he was a member of its corporate team and worked on many large M&A and reorganization transactions.
