Comments on the Commission’s consultation related to the White Paper on the modernization of the EU merger law

On 9 July 2014, the European Commission published its White Paper - Towards More Effective EU Merger control and invited third parties to submit comments. This White Paper mainly focuses on the control of non-controling minority shareholdgins which the Commission intends to control through a so-called targeted transparency system. The White Paper also proposes other improvements of the EU merger control in particular in the field of referrals.
