Les objectifs de la régulation économique et financière, Gabriel ECKERT et Jean-Philippe KOVAR (dir.)

Gabriel Eckert et Jean-Philippe Kovar (dir.)

This section selects books on themes related to competition laws and economics. This compilation does not attempt to be exhaustive but rather a survey of themes important in the area. The survey usually covers publication over the last three months after publication of the latest issue of Concurrences. Publishers, authors and editors are welcome to send books to stephane.rodrigues-domingues@univ-paris1.fr for review in this section.

Work to be reported (for later review).

Faithful readers of this column will certainly have recognised the context in which this new book is being published under the direction of Gabriel Eckert and Jean-Philippe Kovar, that of the European Regulation Days organised for the past seven years by the University of Strasbourg. These are the proceedings of the sixth edition (28 and 29 January 2016), which was devoted to the objectives of economic and financial regulation. This vast subject, whose evolution over the last thirty years has been marked by the appearance of extra-competitive goals, is retraced through some fifteen contributions that approach these objectives through a triple prism: their definition, their articulation and their achievement (including their control). A work that will merit a more in-depth review in a future edition.
