OECD: Second Competition Open Day (Paris, 26 February 2020)

At the Second OECD Competition Open Day, the OECD launched the first edition of the OECD Competition Trends which provides unique insights into global competition trends based on analysis of data from more than 50 OECD and non-OECD jurisdictions. Sessions discussed competition in the digital age, fintech and big tech, competition in labour markets and merger control in dynamic markets. Renowned experts shared their expertise with a total of around 800 delegates, both virtual and present at the OECD.

1. The second OECD Competition Open Day [1] took place on 26 February 2020. The Open Day shares the work of the OECD with the broader competition policy community, including practitioners, businesses, academics and students, in the work of the OECD. While the work of the OECD Competition Committee is focused mainly on supporting the activities of competition authorities, it has a wider relevance and is subject to growing interest from practitioners. 2. OECD competition outputs, such as reports, [2] recommendations, [3] country reviews [4] and best practices roundtables, [5] are all available online.
