Annual report on EU Competition Policy: The European Parliament invites the Commission to adapt its competition policy to the specificities of the sector of the digital economy, and calls on the Commission to modify the existing rules without delay, in order to allow the amounts recovered following an infringement of EU tax-related State aid rules to be returned to the Member States which have suffered from an erosion of their tax bases, or to the EU budget, and not to the Member State which granted the illegal tax-related State aid

Lors de la session plénière, le parlement européen a adopté le 19 janvier 2016, par 500 voix pour, 137 voix contre et 73 abstentions, le rapport de Werner Langen (PPE, DE) sur le rapport annuel sur la politique de concurrence de l'Union européenne pour 2014. Cette exercice annuel, à la faveur duquel le Parlement européen — peu associé à la politique de concurrence de l'Union, ce que, de rapport en rapport, il regrette amèrement — plaide inlassablement pour le renforcement démocratique de la politique de concurrence et pour que le Parlement obtienne des pouvoirs de codécision en matière de politique de concurrence, notamment lorsqu'il s'agit d'orientations fondamentales et de lignes directrices contraignantes (pt. 110), est aussi l'occasion pour le Parlement de faire entendre sa voix non seulement
