SYNTHESIS

Richard Whish started by emphasising the global scope of the issues raised by digital platforms and their complexity. These challenges are related to the particularities of the functioning and strategies of these platforms, the difficulties in adopting adequate theories of harm and sensible remedies, and the challenge of avoiding overregulation. He then moderated the discussion by allocating speaking time between the panellists and introducing their interventions.
