SYNTHESIS

William E. Kovacic pointed out that it is a widespread belief that the EU and the UK are beset by a lack of economic vitality. In part, this would be visible in the inability to generate large numbers of successful global services platforms. It is predicted that Europe and the United Kingdom will drift farther and farther behind, not simply from the United States, but increasingly from China as well. But it is interesting to wonder: is the situation that bad? If it is, what to do about it?
