SYNTHÈSE

Adelaide Luke pointed out that competition authorities in Asia are busy on many different fronts. China has undergone fundamental regulatory reforms. Indonesia has also made extensive changes to its competition regime. Hong Kong and Singapore have updated their guidance and policies, and the Philippines and Vietnam focused on more technical changes to thresholds and procedures in merger control. Thus, Asia focuses on its own developments, while keeping an eye on what is happening elsewhere in the world, especially in the European Union.
