Nicolas Petit started out by reflecting on by listing the new issues that come with platform cases: killer acquisitions and kill zones for instance. However, consensus on a systemic lack of competition in these sectors remains a very Brussels and DC-based, bureaucratic one. He therefore presents the seminar as an opportunity to go back to the beginning of digital innovation cycles: their financing, and the venture capital firms that provide it.
