SYNTHESIS

Linda Cenedella moderated the discussion.

Wojciech Lyszczarz presented the European Union’s perspective on two-sided markets or multi-service platforms. These can be defined in different ways but with certain common elements. Firstly, these markets/platforms offer different types of products/services to different user groups. Secondly, they link two or more distinct types of users (side A and side B). Finally, there may be a third factor which is that the marketplace/platform may also facilitate interactions between these different types of users.
