The Lithuanian Competition Authority terminates the investigation of alleged abuse of dominance in the maritime industry (Vakarų Laivų Gamykla)

On 19 April 2016 the Competition Council terminated the investigation against AB “Vakarų Laivų Gamykla“ (AB VLG) with regard to an alleged infringement of Article 102 TFEU and Article 7 of the Law on Competition of the Republic of Lithuania. During the investigation, which the Competition Council started on 11 February 2014, the competition authority scrutinized whether AB VLG did not infringe the competition law provisions, which prohibit an abuse of a dominant position, i.e. Article 102 TFEU and Article 7 of the Law on Competition of the Republic of Lithuania.
