The Moldovan Competition Authority finds no dumping practices in the bundled packages on the telecommunications market (IM Sun Communications)

On 5 December 2013 the Moldovan Competition Authority (CC) [1] has confirmed the absence of dumping prices on the market for various telecommunications services (IPTV, fixed telephony and Internet). The no-infringement decision issued by the CC was based on the absence of anti-competitive effects on the relevant product markets. The CC’s investigation was prompted by the complaint of the incumbent telecom operator SA Moldtelecom. The applicant argued that one of the independent providers, IM Sun Communications SRL was applying predatory prices in marketing of its telecom packages including IPTV, fixed telephony and Internet services.
