In September 2007 the Romanian Competition Authority (Consiliul Concurenţei) (CC) launched a sector inquiry on the market for cereals used in the bakery industry. The preliminary report was completed in February 2009 and released for public consultation in March. The CC invited interested parties to provide feedback that would be used in finalizing the report by the end of May. The public consultation process is open until 13 April 2009. The comments can be sent to the CC via post or email: Consiliul Concurenţei Piaţa Presei Libere nr. 1, Corp D1 RO 013701 Bucureşti cercetare@consiliulconcurentei.ro. The inquiry focused primarily on the market for wheat as the primary type of cereal used for production of bread and related products which accounted for 38,5%
