The Bulgarian Supreme Administrative Court confirms Commission’s decision ordering for a transportation company to suspend operations in Bulgaria for immediate enforcement (Uber)

On September 23, 2015 the five-member panel of the Bulgarian Supreme Administrative Court [1] confirmed the decision of the Commission on Protection of Competition [2] for immediate enforcement of the decision ordering for Uber to suspend operations in Bulgaria. On June 30, 2015, the CPC adopted its decision on the breach of the Bulgarian unfair competition provisions and imposed sanctions on Uber B.V., the Netherlands [3] and Rasier Operations B.V., the Netherlands [4]. The aforementioned Court ruling referred only to the part for immediate enforcement of the CPC decision on suspending Uber operations in Bulgaria. The arguments on the merits of the case shall take place on a separate court proceedings where the Supreme Administrative Court hearing shall be on January 26, 2016. The
