Introduction On April 24, 2013, the Antitrust Authority (the "IAA") published a bill (the "Bill") [1] in proposal to amend the Restrictive Trade Practices Law, 1988 (the "Law"). The Bill is yet to be approved by the Israeli government and parliament. The Bill proposes to amend various aspects of the Law, but its main theme is an effort to enhance the private enforcement of the antitrust laws in Israel. Accordingly, at this article we will mainly focus on this aspect of the Bill. As this article suggests, while the Bill, if approved, may indeed help private enforcers to some extent, it doesn’t offer a full and systematic solution to the poor status of the private enforcement of antitrust laws in Israel.
