In December 2020, the CMA’s Digital Markets Taskforce (DMT) published its report setting out 15 recommendations [1] which the UK Government could implement to regulate technology firms with ‘strategic market status’ (SMS) in a way that promotes competition, innovation and protects consumers and businesses in digital markets.
