In December 2020, the CMA’s Digital Markets Taskforce (DMT) published its report setting out 15 recommendations  which the UK Government could implement to regulate technology firms with ‘strategic market status’ (SMS) in a way that promotes competition, innovation and protects consumers and businesses in digital markets.
