The Belgian Competition Council imposes interim measures on leading diamond company (De Beers)

1. The Parties Spira is a ‘sightholder’(a company purchasing rough diamonds). De Beers is the world leading company in the mining and trading of diamond. De Beers UK Limited - formerly The Diamond Trading Company Limited - and Diamdel NV are part of the De Beers Group. Diamond Trading Company is a division of De Beers UK Limited, and is responsible for the sale and distribution of rough diamonds of the De Beers Group. Diamdel is the liquidator of the corporation Diamond Trading Company Limited. The defendants are De Beers UK Limited and Diamdel NV (hereafter: De Beers). 2.
