The Roundtable on Disruptive Innovations in Legal Services discussed the way that current legal professional regulations are being (i) challenged by new innovations and (ii) potentially standing in the way of further innovation. The Chairman, Alberto Heimler, opened the session by noting that the current trend of innovation in legal services markets could be described as “creative destruction”, in the sense that it is creating a completely new market reality and set of services.
