The Moldovan Supreme Court of Justice clarifies the rules on the appointment of the members of the Competition Authority (Feodor Gladii)

On 19 July 2017, the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) [1] of the Republic of Moldova has clarified the procedural rules concerning the appointment of the members of the Competition Council (CC) [2] in a case concerning the alleged discrimination at the workplace. [3] The Moldovan Competition Law provides that the Plenum of the CC is a collegial body and consists of five members, including the President and the two Vice-Presidents. [4] The members of the CC Plenum are appointed by the Parliament, at the proposal of the Speaker, with the endorsement of the competent parliamentary commission. [5] The members of the CC Plenum serve for 5 years,
