A. The new Law 3784/2009 amends the Greek Competition Act The Greek Parliament enacted in September Law 3784/2009 "Review of Provisions of Law 703/77 on the control of monopolies and oligopolies and the protection of free competition" (the "new Law") published in Government Gazette A/7-8-2009. The new Law is in effect as of September 7, 2009 and constitutes an amendment to Law 703/77 "On the protection of Free Competition" (the "Hellenic Competition Act"). The purpose of this amendment is to accelerate the examination process by the Hellenic Competition Commission ("HCC"), to harmonize Greek with Community competition law and to limit the workload of the HCC in order to allow it to concentrate on more serious violations of competition law, namely horizontal agreements and abuse of
