Cooperation between National Competition Authorities: An overview of EU and national case law

1. Introduction It is the overriding belief that the EU competition rules should be applied uniformly and the European Competition Network (ECN) was established for attaining such aim. While the ECN has functioned successfully during its initial stages and still represents one of the most developed co-operation competition frameworks of the world, this foreword will explore how the Network worked in recent years and whether it is time to update it, also considering the challenges presented by the digitalisation of the economy.
