The Spanish Competition Authority agrees to the termination, subject to commitments, of the proceedings against several television companies for anticompetitive agreements concerning advertising slots (Antena 3 Televisión / Veo Televisión / The Walt Disney Company Iberia)

On June 30, 2011, the Spanish Competition Commission (Comisión Nacional de la Competencia or “CNC”) agreed to the termination, subject to commitments, of the sanctioning proceedings initiated against several broadcast television companies for adopting horizontal agreements relating to sales and marketing of television advertising slots. Background On July 22, 2010, on its own initiative, the CNC opened a sanctioning proceeding against Antena 3 Televisión S.A. (“Antena 3”), Atres Advertising S.L.U. (“ATRES”, a subsidiary of Antena 3), Veo Televisión S.A. (“VEO TV”) and The Walt Disney Company Iberia, S.L. (“DISNEY”), in relation to certain agreements entered into by those companies, concerning the marketing of television advertising slots: ATRES and DISNEY signed an agreement on May 6, 2008,
