The UK Office of Fair Trading updates its position on newspapers and magazines work (Newspapers and magazines work)

On the 11 March 2008 the OFT published a press release, providing an update on distinct, but linked, work strands regarding the newspaper and magazine sector : (a) the preparation of guidance to assist publishers and distributors in assessing for themselves whether their newspaper and magazine distribution agreements comply with competition law (the Opinion); (b) a review of the National Newspapers Code of Practice (the Code) in order to advise the Secretary of State for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (the Code was adopted following a previous investigation into the supply of national newspapers.
