UK clampdown on greenwashing As the importance of sustainability and eco-friendliness grows among consumers worldwide, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has concerns that an increasing number of businesses misleadingly market their products and services as environmentally friendly. The CMA has published a new Green Claims Code, and announced that it will start carrying out a "full review" of misleading sustainability and environmental claims in 2022.
