The Competition Commission of India clears a joint venture after securing voluntary commitments (MIAL JV)

1. Introduction 1.1. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved the joint venture entered between Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (MIAL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) (IOCL, BPCL and HPCL collectively referred to as the Oil PSU’s) called the Mumbai Aviation Fuel Farm Facility Limited (MAFFFL) to construct and manage an integrated fuel farm facility at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Airport) in Mumbai, India, (Transaction) after accepting voluntary commitments offered by the parties [1]. The notification was jointly filed by the parties under Section 6(2) of the Competition Act, 2002 (Competition Act) within 30 days of signing of the Shareholders
