The Romanian Competition Authority accepts behavioural commitments in unfair pricing case in the natural gas sector (Progaz)

On 5 September 2012 the Romanian Competition Authority (CC) [1] has accepted behavioral committments of a dominant undertaking in the natural gas sector and closed its investigation into the alleged abuse of dominant position initiated under the national equivalent of Article 102 TFEU. In June 2010 the CC has commenced an ex officio investigation into the alleged abuse of dominant position on the market for certification of the designs and construction works on the gas distribution installations in the three municipalities of the Prahova and Ilfov counties. SC Progaz P&D SA(Progaz) was holding a natural monopoly position on the natural gas supply and distribution markets in the specified municipalities.
