On 13 September 2010, the General Court handed down judgments on the appeals brought by Trioplast Industrier AB and Trioplast Wittenheim SA against the European Commission’s decision fining them for their role in a cartel amongst industrial bags producers. In its judgment, the General Court reduced the fine imposed on Trioplast Industrier AB and dismissed the appeal by Trioplast Wittenheim SA in its entirety. Trioplast Industrier AB became the parent company of Trioplast Wittenheim SA, a producer of industrial bags, in 1999.
