The Hungarian Competition Council refuses to accept commitments and adopts an infringement decision prohibiting recommended fees issued by a professional association (Magyar Ingatlanszövetség)

The Competition Council found the Hungarian Real Estate Association (“MAISZ”) had infringed the national equivalent of Article 81 EC by issuing fee recommendations for certain real estate services of its member [1]. Although MAISZ offered commitments to remedy the infringement and to bring its conduct in line with the competition rules, the Competition Council issued a prohibition decision.
