The German Competition Authority remains operational amidst COVID-19 outbreak, but asks undertakings to postpone submitting non-urgent cases

Communication with the Bundeskartellamt (Coronavirus measures)*

The Bundeskartellamt’s operating capacity is currently ensured. We will inform you without delay of any limitations that may arise in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

You can contact us as usual by e-mail, phone, or fax, as well as by mail. Deadlines can also still be met by sending a fax.

Until further notice, it is not possible to visit the Bundeskartellamt in person. However, we are happy to arrange telephone conferences for necessary talks.

It will be decided on a case-by-case basis whether hearings of the federal public procurement tribunals are to take place. You will be contacted by the federal public procurement tribunals on this matter.

While the Bundeskartellamt remains operational for the time being, we kindly ask undertakings and their representatives to consider in each individual case whether, in view of the challenging circumstances, a project has to be submitted to the Bundeskartellamt right away or whether it could possibly also be submitted at a later date.

Any changes and further developments will be communicated via our website and our Twitter channel.
