Mergers: Commission approves Bouygues' acquisition of Equans, subject to conditions* The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, Bouygues' acquisition of Equans. The approval is conditional on full compliance with commitments offered by Bouygues. Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager, in charge of competition policy, said: "Bouygues and Equans are leading providers of electrical engineering services for railway contact lines in Belgium.
