On 15 October 2010, the UK Office of Fair Trading (OFT) announced that it had reached an early resolution agreement with Reckitt Benckiser whereby the OFT agreed to reduce the fine it would impose on Reckitt Benckiser in return for the company's admission of infringement of the Chapter II prohibition of the Competition Act 1998 and Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union [1]. The fine was reduced from £12 million to £10.2 million. The early resolution agreement follows the OFT's statement of objections which was issued to Reckitt Benckiser
