The Swedish Competition Authority amends merger notification requirements (Regulations on the notification of concentrations)

According to Swedish national merger control law, a concentration shall be notified to the Swedish Competition Authority (“SCA”) (Sw. Konkurrensverket) if the combined turnover of the parties in Sweden exceeds SEK 1 billion (approximately € 94.167 M) and each of at least two parties has turnover in Sweden over SEK 200 M (approximately € 18.8 M). On October 18, 2010, the SCA announced three changes to their merger notification and review process. First, and of most significance, the SCA will no longer be required to inform parties that their merger filing
