"EU-Korea FTA: a stepping stone towards better subsidies' control at the international level"* On 15 October 2009 a free trade agreement (FTA) between Korea and the EU, the EU's first with a trading partner in Asia, was initialled [1]. It is the most ambitious FTA ever negotiated by the EU, containing the most comprehensive deal on subsidies of any bilateral trade agreement so far.
