The Serbian Competition Authority announces the results of the sector inquiry on the market for wholesale and retail distribution of liquefied petroleum gas

On 23 February 2010 the Serbian Competition Authority (Komisija za zastitu konkurencije) (KZK) published the results of the sector inquiry evaluating the competitive conditions on the market for the wholesale and retail distribution of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). This investigation was initiated in December 2008 by the Ministry for Trade and Services (Ministarstvo trgovine i usluga), which was concerned with the fact that LPG prices in Serbia did not follow the fluctuations of the world oil prices, which could be possibly caused by the lack of competition on the national market or price-fixing arrangements among competitors. In its market investigation the KZK has considered whether the existence of the following umbrella organizations could facilitate the price-fixing
