The Competition Authority of Bosnia & Herzegovina issues on opinion regarding thresholds for mandatory notification of concentrations (BA Heinzel)

On 21 October 2009 legal counsel of the Heinzel Group (Heinzel) [1] Dr. Johannes Klezl requested Competition Authority of Bosnia & Herzegovina [2] to express its opinion regarding Heinzel's obligation to notify its acquisition of an Austrian company engaged in manufacturing of paper for magazines and newspapers. Heinzel is one of the leading European manufacturers of sulfite pulp, an important commodity for specialty papers and as a source of cellulose for non-paper applications. Heinzel submitted to the KV that it does not have any affiliate companies registered in B&H. It is active on the B&H market by selling its products to B&H companies.
