Executive summary, by the Secretariat Considering the discussion at the roundtable and the member country submissions, a number of key points emerge: (1) There is great interest in settlements of cartel cases; many jurisdictions are currently experimenting with slightly different versions of settlement procedures as each jurisdiction seeks to maximize benefits and minimize risks of settlements within the parameters of its enforcement framework, with the ultimate goal of strengthening deterrence of cartels.
