The Spanish Government introduces a foreign direct investment screening regime

In the framework of a larger urgent legislative package to ease the effects of the Covid-19 crisis in the economy in the spring of 2020, the Spanish Government put in place a new foreign direct investment (FDI) screening system applicable to non-EU/non-EFTA companies.
