The Serbian Competition Authority clears a retail merger in a phase II procedure with imposition of behavioural remedies (Stampa Sistem / Futura Plus)

On 22 November 2012 the Serbian Competition Authority (KZK) [1] has cleared in a Phase II procedure a concentration in the market for retail trade in kiosks of cigarettes and other tobacco products, newspapers and prepaid cards of mobile phone operators. The specified concentration was cleared with behavioral remedies: the merging parties committed not to open any new retail locations in the specified counties where they possessed significant market shares. The concentration between Štampa Sistem d.o.o. (acquiring undertaking) and Futura Plus d.o.o. (target undertaking) was originally notified to the KZK on 27 July 2012.
