Background On 9 December 2009 the French Competition Authority fined Orange Caraïbe and France Telecom in the amount of EUR 63 million for having abused their dominant position on the market of mobile telephony or fixed telephony in French Caribbean. This decision was partially overturned from the French Court of Appeal on 23 September 2010, having set aside the application of EC law and several charges on Orange Caraïbe and France Telecom.
