The EU General Court reduces fine imposed in acrylic glass cartel case (Quinn Group)

In a judgment handed down on 30 November 2011, the General Court (“GC”) reduced the fine imposed by the Commission on certain companies within the Quinn Group (formerly the Barlo Group) for their participation in a cartel on the market for methacrylates/acrylic glass. In a decision adopted on 31 May 2006, the Commission imposed fines totalling € 344.5 million on a number of companies who were found to have participated in a cartel
