Belgium: The Competition Authority imposes Interim Measures on De Beers* In a decision of 25 November 2010, the President of the Competition Council ordered De Beers to supply rough diamonds to Antwerp trader Spira. The decision follows a request for interim measures filed by Spira, awaiting the outcome of its complaint lodged with the Belgian Competition Authority in 2009. When De Beers, a producer of rough diamonds, introduced its Supplier of Choice distribution system in 2003, Spira, who had been a distributor of De Beers’ rough diamonds since 1935,
