Introduction CONTO TV S.r.l. (CONTO TV) is a small broadcasting company operating satellite TV in Italy. LEGA CALCIO is the Italian Soccer Association, entrusted by the Italian law (Law n. 106/2007 and Legislative Decree n. 9/2008) with the task of selling soccer matches audio-television rights of its associates, Serie A and B clubs. On July 3, 2009, LEGA CALCIO published a call for tenders to award different packages of TV rights for the Serie A seasons 2010/2011 and 2011/2012. One of these packages, named “Platinum Live”, provided the highest bidder with the possibility to broadcast live all Serie A matches on the satellite platform for the two above mentioned seasons.
