On 21 November 2008, the Competition Authority decided not to oppose a concentration in the subscription television market subject to conditions and obligations, consisting in the acquisition of sole control by CATVP - TV Cabo Portugal over TVTel - Comunicações, S.A. [1]. The transaction caused a concentration in the following relevant markets were both acquiring and acquired entities operated: (i) the provision of fixed telephone services, (ii) the provision of broadband internet access services, (iii) the wholesale provision of internet connectivity services, and (iv) the retail provision of subscription television services.
