The UK Competition Authority recommends far-reaching changes to private enforcement of competition law

On 26 November 2007, the OFT published its recommendations to the Government on measures to improve the effectiveness of redress for consumers and businesses for breaches of competition law. The recommendations followed the OFT’s informal consultation on private actions in competition law, launched in April 2007, and represent a further step in the Community-wide debate on private enforcement of competition law.
