"Commission publishes a study on the future of motor vehicle distribution"* Car Distribution at EC level is currently regulated by Block Exemption Regulation 1475/95 [1], which expires on 30 September 2002. On 15 November 2000, the Commission adopted an evaluation report [2] on the Block Exemption, as required by the regulation. That report concluded that the 1995 Block Exemption has only achieved some of the aims that the Commission had in mind when it renewed its permission to use selective and exclusive distribution networks for the distribution of motor vehicles. It would also seem that some of the assumptions upon which the regulation was based are now questionable. All
